FAQ's

Whats with the logo?

The woman represents the divine feminine—my grandmother, my mom, me. The snake represents transformation, rebirth, growth. I was born in the year of the snake, and starting this business has been like shedding my old skin.

The girl dancing with the snake? That’s all of us—learning to move with power, with purpose, with bite.

Is it hand made?

Yes! I slow-cook every batch with organic, recognizable ingredients—garlic, ginger, chili flakes, sesame oil, tamari, freshly ground pepper. No seed oils. No sugar. No gluten. Just real flavor that makes you feel good.

This is for the folks who read labels, shop local, and believe food should be both delicious and nourishing.

When can I buy it in the co-op?

Right now, I’m juggling a full-time job and running this small business—but my dream? To build something bigger. I want to create a nonprofit incubator for food entrepreneurs like the one that helped me. To give back. To lift others up.

Because spicy food is great—but a supportive community? That’s the real secret sauce.

How spicy are we talking?

Pretty spicy! But not overwhelmingly so. You'll find its a perfectly well balanced blend of spice and umami. It definitely has a kick, but in a good way.

What makes your chili oil different?

It's organic, slow-cooked, made with love, and doesn’t include seed oils, sugar, or fillers. It's deeply flavorful—not just spicy. I make every batch by hand using ingredients and technique inspired by my family and upbringing in southern China. But with a Sacramento twist!

Is it vegan?

No—it contains fish sauce. But we’re exploring a vegan version!

Is it gluten-free?

Yes. We use tamari instead of traditional soy sauce.

Do you use preservatives?

Nope. It’s clean, honest food.
